Monkey Goes to Space Shout out to Curious George

This is a lost sketch I did while creating I love Monkey.  As I hit road blocks or got stuck  I would just draw monkey in situations that had nothing to do with the book but they would just be fun. I would usually giggle and get inspired again

Though my drawing style is nothing like HA Rey it is was of my biggest influences. My first monkey and favorite stories were all Curious George.  I strongly recommend you check the book  Journey that saved Curious George.

It is children’s book tells the amazing story of how Margret and H. A. Rey, the creators of Curious George, escaped Paris in 1940 just as the German army was approaching the city. Margret and H. A. Rey, who were Jewish, escaped on bicycle, carrying with them several children’s book manuscripts, including what would become the children’s picture book Curious George.
